Characteristics and clinical management of inguinal endometriosis

Inguinal endometriosis, a rare and diagnostically challenging condition, is occasionally misdiagnosed by general surgeons as an inguinal hernia or hydrocele of the canal Nuck. In this study, we retrospectively investigated 23 patients with endometriosis diagnosed at our hospital between January 2006 September 2021. Per policy, surgical treatment consists resection from round ligament to lesion; notably, date, no patient has shown recurrence approach. Individualized therapy (drug vs. treatment) should be carefully selected based on patient's condition.
